Georgie Lou's Retro Candy

HoursPatriotc Store Windows

Our operating hours are listed at left.  Although we try to keep our normal business hours, situations may arise that compel us to open late, close early, or close completely.  For the absolute most up-to-date information regarding our hours, please check facebook or twitter.  We apologize for any inconvenience these closings may cause you, but we are a family-run business with no other employees but us, and our family always comes first.  With three boys, you just never know what will happen!  We also follow the Carlisle Area School District's weather delays and closings, so if we're expecting bad weather and the schools are closed, we may be as well.

We also may adjust hours seasonally as needed.  Right now we're on regular hours.  Our opening times are set (sorry we're sometimes a few minutes late), but our closing times can be flexible--that's what the "ish" is all about!  Please note that we are closed the first week of January for inventory.

Georgie Lou's Location
Where the Heck are We?

Our new location as of December 2013 is right across the street from the Hamilton Restaurant, four doors down from the Carlisle Theater, and right on the corner of West High Street and South Pitt Street.  We are located in the historic Centenery Building in downtown Carlisle.

Address:
56 W. High Street, Carlisle, PA 17013

If you live closer to Duncannon, Pa, check out our outpost at Old Sledworks, located at 722 N. Market Street.  We have 90+ of our favorite retro candies available for purchase at their counter and offer a selection of seasonal candies on a boss retro Whitman's Candy cooler.  We hope in the near future to expand our offerings there to include our store made fudge and retro sodas.

How do You get us on the Horn?

Just a note about our phone number--it's actually my grandmother's phone number.

Age 10
She was very excited about the candy store--she had quite a sweet tooth (Spearmint Leaves and Black Licorice were favorites).  We lost her in November 2009 right before the store opened, and even though she never got to see the finished product, she's there every day in spirit.  I didn't want her phone number disappearing into the depths of the telephone directory, so I had the store phone number changed to hers.  So every time you make the phone ring, I get to think of her!

Please be aware that we sometimes cannot answer the phone even during business hours due to customer volume.  If you need help, please leave a message, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can!
